For many visitors, especially those who come by cruise ship, the north of Montenegro is difficult to reach. However, for all of you who have more time, this is a tour of the Durmitor National Park. The must see in Montenegro.
The tour starts from Kotor or Tivat and the first photo stop is accross two beautiful islands, Our lady of the Rocks and seint George, in Perast town.
We have an hour and a half left to reach Durmitor National Park. For many visitors and Montenegrins, this is the most beautiful of the 5 national parks. As we get closer this beautiful mountain will show us several of the 40 peaks higher than 2000 meters.
But that's not all the park has to boast about. Durmitor means a mountain full of water, so locals admire its 17 glacial lakes that make this park even more ideal for hiking or any other outdoor activity. The most famous of all is certainly the Black Lake. Easily accessible, surrounded by a hiking trail and with a restaurant right next to the coast make it popular for visitors of all ages.
Time to go further, from the center of the national park, again through the city of Zabljak, towards the Djurdjevica Tara bridge. The Djurdjevica Tara bridge is the largest monument of the National Park, but today, in addition to its historical importance, the zip line also makes it popular.
For all the brave and curious, an optional activity is available on both sides of the bridge. The choice is yours. You will certainly enjoy the beautiful view of the bridge and the Tara river canyon below it. (zip line not included in the price)
